  • What are Sisterlocks™️
    Sisterlocks™ is a natural hair management system that creates tiny style-able locks. It allows women with tightly textured hair to take advantage of a wide range of today’s hairstyles without having to alter the natural texture of their hair or add any products or heat.
  • Can I get Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Braidlocks, or Interlocks if I have relaxed hair?
    Yes. The transition will take more time. Loc’d N Studios trained lock professionals will assist in a smooth transition.
  • Do I need to have a certain hair texture for Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Interlocks, or Braidlocks to work?
    Not at all! Although coarser & thick hair are best for locs. All-natural textures will add body and styling easy to maintain.
  • Can Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Interlocks, or Braidlocks be taken out?
    Yes, although the process is tedious.
  • Will Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Interlocks, or Braidlocks cause my hair to break or thin?
    No! Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Interlocks, and Braidlocks are a gentle technique, requiring no chemicals or excessive manipulation to the hair. With regular care and maintenance, your locs will grow, and styling options will increase!
  • How often should I get my Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Interlocks, or Braidlocks retightened after establishment?
    4-6 weeks
  • Where are you located?
    We currently have two locations! Our home studio is located in Missouri City, Tx 77459 area and our second location is in New Orleans, LA. Exact location is to be provided at appointment confirmation.
  • Can you install Sisterlocks™️, Microlocks, Interlocks, or Braidlocks with damaged ends or is it best to cut them off?
    Best to trim off damaged ends and start your journey with healthy hair!
  • Does my hair have to be all one length to start my journey?
    No. Hair must be at least 3 inches to start your loc journey.
  • Do you have to wait to color hair until a certain time?
    Yes, typically color can be added after your locs have “settled” which could take from 6-12 months. It is recommended to color hair a few weeks prior to establishment.
